Overview

Marooned is a survival game based on historical pirate marooning. It is a single-player, first-person game involving resource management, crafting, and combat. The player is left to perish by their crew on a small island. However, the island and its inhabitants have different plans for the abandoned pirate. The player must learn to build a raft before it is too late.

Responsibilities

  • Designing level block-outs for the island and cave using primitives in-engine.

  • Building landscapes using UE5 landscaping tools and populating the area using foliage tools.

  • Managing several art passes and communicating with 3D modelers for needed items.

  • Visual scripting:

    • AI scripting​

    • Weapons and health systems

    • Crafting/Inventory

    • UI

  • Developing multiple design documents providing team clarity and organization.

  • Managing scrum sprints using Jira.
